Vicky Sempeles, AIA

Vicky was promoted to Senior Project Director in March 2024. She initially joined The Hardy Group in 2021 as a Project Director in the Orlando office, where she managed daily project operations, coordinated goals, and oversaw consultants and estimates for FF&E and OS&E. Her extensive experience has been instrumental in managing over two dozen hotel renovation projects for the Highgate Portfolio.

In her current role, Vicky leads overall project management, ensuring exceptional performance and serving as the primary client contact. She is responsible for establishing project goals, developing design and scope, and creating budgets and schedules. Additionally, she manages the Capital Intelligence process, reviews contracts and change orders, oversees cost management and accounting, prepares cash flow forecasts, and manages project staff.

A selection of Vicky’s remarkable projects include:

• Senior Project Director overseeing design on The Highgate Program, a collection of approximately 150 hotels spanning from New York to California.
• Renovation of the JW Marriott in Clearwater, FL.
• Ballroom expansion at the Waldorf Astoria and Signia Hotel in Orlando, FL.
• Renovation of the AC Hotel Marriott in Tallahassee, FL.
• Renovation of Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill at Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
• Lead project architect for InterContinental and Vivara Hotels in San Diego, CA.

Prior to joining HARDY, Vicky worked for a variety of companies including Baker Barrios Architects, Orlando FL, Little Diversified Architectural Consulting, Durham, NC, O’Brien Atkins Architecture, Durham, NC, Cline Design and Associates, Raleigh, NC, Davis Davis Architects, San Diego, CA, VOA Architects, Orlando, FL, Architects Design Group, Winter Park, FL., and Pich Aguilera Architects, Barcelona, Spain.

Vicky completed a Master of Architecture in 2001 from the College of Design & Construction, University of Florida and Vicenza Institute of Architecture, Italy. She also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, University of Florida, attended the Universidad Internacional de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain and Coral Gables High School, FL (graduate of the International Baccalaureate program). Additionally, Vicky is a licensed Architect in Florida and holds a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Board.
