Ryan Marzzarella

Ryan joined The Hardy Group in 2014, initially serving as a Project Director in Atlanta. Over the years, he advanced through the ranks, holding the positions of Project Director at the newly established Honolulu office, Project Director in the Los Angeles Office, Senior Project Director, and presently, he holds the esteemed role of Managing Director for the West Coast and Hawaii.

Ryan brings with him substantial expertise in project management, construction management, and estimating, with extensive experience on hotels, resorts, restaurants, meeting spaces, office spaces, retail, and residential projects. He plays a comprehensive role in overseeing the entire project lifecycle, managing processes from programming and acquisitions to design, entitlements, procurement, and construction. He understands all the challenges owner’s face during a renovation of an operating asset and he’s especially well-versed in the obstacles developers face in difficult markets like Hawaii and California.

• Extensive redevelopment of all guestrooms, public areas and exterior pool at Four Seasons Lāna’i at Manele Bay in Lanai City, HI.
• Guestroom and public space renovation at The Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Waikoloa Beach, HI.
• Redevelopment, repositioning, and conversion of The Hilton Portland Downtown and Duniway Portland in Portland, OR.
• Redevelopment of guestrooms, lobby, meeting space, and pools at Yountville Vintage Estates in Yountville, CA.
• Design and predevelopment of a new event building at The Ritz Carlton in San Francisco, CA.
• Renovation of lobby and restaurant at The Marriot in San Jose, CA
• Tenant Improvement of an office and commercial kitchen space at an undisclosed project in Malibu, CA

• Extensive renovation at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma, CA.
• New build luxury suites at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort in Wailea, HI.
• Extensive guestroom and public space renovation at the Royal Sonesta Kaua’i Resort Lihue in Lihue, HI.
• Guestroom and public spaces renovation at Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali in Lahaina, HI.
• New luxury residential development at Makena Golf & Beach Club in Kihei, HI.

In March 2022, Ryan was promoted to Managing Director overseeing HARDY projects on the West coast and Hawaii. A selection of his most recent projects include:

• Redevelopment of the W Hollywood in Hollywood, CA.
• Redevelopment of guestrooms and villas and brand conversion at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, CA.
• Renovation of guestrooms and public spaces at the Omni San Diego in San Diego, CA.
• Renovation of guestrooms and public spaces at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Maui, HI.
• Extensive renovation at Ohia Waikiki Studio Suites in Waikiki, HI.

Ryan received a Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas and a Graduate Certificate in Construction Management from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. Ryan was also a regular volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
