Nathan joined The Hardy Group in 2001 and has held a variety of positions over the years, including On-site Project Manager, Estimator, Senior Project Director, Senior Program Manager, Branch Operations Manager, Development Manager, and Project Executive. In June 2024, he assumed the role of Director of Operations. Having held nearly every position within the organization, Nathan has a unique understanding and appreciation for the responsibilities each role entails.
As The Director of Operations, Nathan is the Executive Management Representative who is responsible for the overall staffing, organization and HARDY team performance on the assignment. He matches assignment needs with specific qualified personnel and makes certain adequate resources are available; reviews the scope of work to be performed, the schedule and budget; as well as approves major contracts; conducts weekly project reviews; monitors the monthly draw packages/project reports; and supervises the six major Cap i/X reviews held at important stages of the project. Nathan is involved in managing any possible risks that could develop and ensures that the assignment progresses in accordance with the proposal and client’s objectives. In addition to project responsibilities, Nathan prioritizes the support and education of personnel by improving training processes and procedures and implements strategies that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Throughout his career, Nathan has managed a wide variety of projects across the continental United States and Hawaii. Notable projects include converting the Adams Mark Hotel in downtown Dallas to a Sheraton, converting the Radisson Hotel in downtown Minneapolis to a Radisson Blu, transforming the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Chicago, and converting the Waikiki Trade Center in downtown Honolulu to a Hyatt Centric. He has also overseen several large programs, including the renovation of 80 Staybridge/Candlewood Suites in two and a half years, and the renovation of 61 Marriott and 15 Hilton select service hotels in two years. From 2015 to 2017, Nathan was the Operations Manager for HARDY’s newly formed Hawaii office, where he was responsible for training new hires, managing projects, and reporting on the financials for the Four Seasons Manele Bay project. He returned to HARDY’s Atlanta office in 2018 as a Senior Project Director, and in 2020, he was assigned to the Ritz Carlton Expansion project as the Development Manager. Nathan is truly experienced in all aspects of Development Management, Project Management, and Program Management, and he has gained a unique perspective from the various roles he has held.
Nathan received his Bachelor of Science from Georgia State University.
