
Matthew joined The Hardy Group’s New York Office in 2023 as a Project Director with over five years of engineering experience. As a Project Director, he is responsible for managing daily tasks, including coordinating project goals, managing consultants, and developing estimates for FF&E and OS&E. He oversees the FF&E design and procurement process ensuring that it remains within budget and on schedule, coordinates and oversees the hotel installation, and tracks change orders alongside the On-Site Project Manager. He assists in obtaining permits for temporary and final occupancy, supports operations for a smooth transition, and manages cost management and accounting procedures. Additionally, he prepares cash flow forecasts and schedules, facilitates monthly draw and project cost reports, manages contract closeout, completes punch lists, coordinates final lien waivers, and performs other necessary project functions.

Prior to joining HARDY, Matthew held the title of Staff Engineer and Project Engineer at Langan Engineering. In Matthew’s role as a Project Engineer his responsibilities included, creating and managing project schedules, generating bid documents and contracts, enforcing contractual requirements and holding the construction team accountable to the highest standards, and managing day-to-day operation aspects of projects between the design and construction teams.
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with a minor in Geology from the University of Arkansas and a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the State of New York.
