Brent is a visionary leader with a keen focus on the convergence of hospitality, commercial real estate development, and technology. He assumed the role of President at The Hardy Group on January 1, 2022, and has since been at the forefront of steering HARDY’s comprehensive strategy. Brent’s leadership spans across energizing business development, coordinating marketing initiatives, refining operational performance, fostering client relationships, and overseeing the entire project management process. His extensive experience, exceptional leadership, and dedication have been pivotal in driving the company’s growth.
In his role as President, Brent is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of The Hardy Group. He ensures the company’s long-term success by overseeing all aspects of operations. His development responsibilities also encompass capital formation, deal identification, feasibility analysis, JV negotiations, and financial modeling for HARDY’s equity commercial real estate investments.
Having ascended through various pivotal roles at The Hardy Group, Brent served as the Director of Development, where he played a crucial role in expanding HARDY’s geographic footprint into key markets. He was instrumental in opening the Los Angeles and Honolulu offices and managing projects on the West Coast and Hawaii. Originally joining HARDY in 2008 as a Project Director based in St. Louis, Missouri, Brent focused on the $63 million renovation of the Hyatt Regency. He then transferred to HARDY’s headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, advancing to Senior Project Director responsible for the renovation of The Revere hotel in Boston, MA, renovation of the New York City Palace Hotel, and the Hotel MDR, in Los Angeles, CA, the adaptive reuse of the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, and more.
Prior to HARDY, Brent spent three years with Rosemann & Associates Architects of St. Louis, Missouri, focusing on design and adaptive reuse of historic buildings and other multi-family architecture. Brent is the recipient of a Master of Architecture and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Brent is a Registered Architect in the State of Georgia, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and The Urban Land Institute. In 2022 he was inducted as a member of the ISHC (The International Society of Hospitality Consultants), and in 2024 was accepted into YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization).
