Andrew joined The Hardy Group in 2018 with 21 years of professional construction experience. He began at HARDY assisting with Colony’s portfolio of hotels. After three years, Andrew was assigned the entire Highgate Select Renovation Program and managed more than 140 projects in the United States. Andrew created a budget model for the Highgate Select Renovation Program, along with integrated Program Management reporting and project management tools. Using these tools, the team continues to successfully budget and manage the portfolio renovations. As of December 2023, Andrew is currently managing the The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas. The scope of the projects is inclusive of a conversion of a full service resort property from a Four Seasons to a Ritz-Carlton and an extensive renovation of 431 guestrooms in the tower and villas and new Ritz-Carlton Club, lobby bar, meeting space, and 15,000 sq ft ballroom.
Growing up around construction and gaining varied experiences in the AEC field, Andrew developed a passion for design and construction from a young age. He has worked as a mason, carpenter, and electrician, and self-performed many various types of construction, learning firsthand about the people and methods necessary for creating the built environment.
Prior to HARDY, Andrew worked as a Construction Consultant for USA Inspection Services, LLC, Construction Manager for The Dennis Group, LLC, and Interim, Director of Operations for Lifecycle Building Center. His experience provided a broad view of the industry, allowing him to observe development of residential and commercial projects, of all sizes. He focused on risk management for residential and commercial development loans for a large number of local, regional and national financial institutions, performing Property Condition Assessments, Pre-construction Analysis and Cost to Complete Reports for various types of residential and commercial assets for financial institutions and owners. He evaluated the development strategies, design approaches, lending styles and construction implementation methods of hundreds of firms. While at his previous firms, he oversaw the development of the field operation infrastructure, capacity, and production, and implemented a more efficient and safer on-site execution techniques, more sophisticated scheduling, safety protocols, analytical tools and reporting. Andrew also developed additional skills in construction management and an appreciation for complicated industrial projects in his latter roles.
Andrew received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Management from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA.
