The Hardy Group Completes $160 Million Renovation at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Kāʻanapali
We are thrilled to announce the completion of the $160 million renovation at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Kāʻanapali for Trinity Investments. The renovation has resulted in the stunning transformation of the Ocean Tower into the newly rebranded Kūkahi Tower. The Hardy Group worked diligently with the project management and executive team at Trinity Investments to complete this ambitious multiyear project. The renovation embodies our commitment to excellence and innovation in hospitality, ensuring that every detail contributes to an enhanced guest experience.
The redesigned Kūkahi guest rooms feature bespoke artwork, printed textiles, and woven area rugs created specifically for this renovation. These elements were inspired by a poem about positive energy and wellness, resulting in a calming, bright, and sophisticated atmosphere. The renovation includes the addition of a 10,000-square-foot social entertainment space by Westin. This new space offers a variety of entertainment options, including Topgolf Swing Suites, duckpin bowling, arcade games, and a bar and lounge with food and beverage offerings.
The completion of this project comes at a pivotal time, following the challenges faced by the island of Maui due to the devastating wildfires in August. The successful transformation of Kūkahi Tower is a testament to the resilience, dedication, and commitment of Trinity Investments, and all the teams involved, including the architectural vision of G70, the interior design expertise of Indidesign, and the exceptional craftsmanship of The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.
