The Legendary New York Palace Restored to Glamour with Strategic Leadership from The John Hardy Group
The New York Palace, a luxury midtown hotel, revealed its new look on September 17, 2013. This property has completed the second phase of its $140 million renovation, with the addition of six culinary destinations and a redesign of its hotel lobby and towers lobby. The Hardy Group’s New York team, led by Rob Willis, was responsible for overseeing the project management of all the public areas, infrastructure, building façade and F&B spaces. The group directly managed eight different contractors instead of having a general contractor, four design firms (BAMO, BBG-BBGM, Champalimaud and Jeffrey Beers), three architecture firms and two purchasing agents. Through The Hardy Group’s timely and efficient execution of logistics and due diligence, the Palace was able to unveil its renovated design on time—regaining its place as a restored cultural heritage destination for New York City. This project was completed for Northwood Hospitality.
