Modern Comfort Meets Iconic Location: Renovation of Courtyard Times Square
The Hardy Group led the comprehensive renovation of the Courtyard Times Square for Barings, revitalizing the hotel to align with Marriott Courtyard brand standards. This project encompassed the complete renovation of all 224 guestrooms and 18 guestroom corridors. The renovations included the installation of a new FF&E package featuring headboards, mattresses, TV stands, desks, closet pieces, bathroom vanities, and electric mirrors. In addition, we upgraded the spaces with new vinyl flooring, wallpaper, and accent vinyl in the guestrooms, as well as new carpeting, wallpaper, and sconces in the corridors, ensuring a fresh and modern aesthetic throughout.
In the public areas, we managed the installation of all-new custom millwork, which included banquettes, media pods, and a full recladding of the bar and bistro areas. The seating area and reception pods were also enhanced with custom millwork feature walls and new lighting, adding a distinctive touch to the hotel’s ambiance. The patio area was further elevated by a unique mural created by Caryn Cast, which contributes an artistic element to the outdoor space.
Throughout the project, The Hardy Group coordinated with key partners to achieve a successful outcome. Hager provided the design, Convergent Services acted as the IT/AV consultant, and Tom Carlone served as the Owner’s representative. Benjamin West managed the FF&E procurement, while CHS Group handled both general contracting and millwork design. Despite the challenges, including managing design issues and coordinating multiple stakeholders, The Hardy Group delivered a refreshed Courtyard Times Square that enhances the guest experience in one of New York City’s most iconic neighborhoods.
